Unlike other virtual tutoring companies, we provide educational services through a multitude of outlets, including webinars, virtual college visits, and in-person academies. Looking specifically at our tutoring services, we don’t implement a one-size-fits-all approach taken by larger tutoring corporations. Instead, we tailor our sessions to the child’s specific needs at an affordable rate. Our curriculum highlights successful African American men and women who have made contributions in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) while utilizing practices from Gholdy Muhammad’s “Cultivating Genius,” an equity framework for teaching and learning across all disciplines. We also bring light to social issues, and have addressed gun violence in minority communities, and talked about racial injustices through various pieces of child literature so students can build awareness and community leadership skills at a young age. This early exposure enables students to think critically about the information they are receiving and come to their own conclusions, an important ability that can translate across several academic disciplines.
